Working With Us: Our Client Policies

A clear and fair framework for our partnership. Our goal is to provide affordable, professional solutions while building lasting relationships.

Our Commitment to You

Customer satisfaction is our number one goal. We founded MKC Future to provide affordable, high-quality digital solutions for small businesses and everything in between. We believe in transparency, fairness, and building partnerships that help our clients succeed. These policies are designed to protect both you, the client, and us, the provider, ensuring a smooth and professional collaboration from start to finish.

Design Fee & Payment Structure

For every new website project, a one-time design fee is required. This fee covers the entire process of designing and building your custom 3-5 page website.

  • 50% Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total design fee is due upon signing our project agreement. This payment secures your project in our schedule and allows us to begin the foundational work.
  • 50% Final Payment: The remaining 50% is due upon project completion, prior to the final launch of your website. We will only request this payment after you have reviewed the site and provided your final approval.

Our Satisfaction Guarantee & Cancellation Policy

We are confident in our ability to deliver a product you will love. However, we want you to feel secure in your investment.

  • Risk-Free Progress: If at any point before the halfway mark of the project timeline you are unhappy with the progress, you may choose to cancel the project.
  • Fair Refund: In the event of such a cancellation, we will refund your initial deposit, minus a fee for the billable hours already invested in your project. Time will be calculated at a rate of $45 per hour. We will provide a detailed breakdown of the hours logged.

Ownership of Your Digital Assets

You own your website. Upon receipt of the final payment, full ownership and all rights to the completed website and its associated assets are transferred to you. This includes:

  • All website design files, code, and graphics we create for you.
  • The domain name registered for your project.
  • Full administrative access to your website's content management system (CMS).

You will be provided with your own user account, giving you the freedom to manage your content as you see fit. We simply manage the hosting and technical maintenance as outlined in your chosen service plan.

Web Management Plans

Our Web Management Plans are subscription-based services billed in advance of the service period (either quarterly or annually). These plans ensure your website remains secure, updated, and performing optimally.

  • Service Period: Services are rendered for the full period for which payment has been made. Fees for the current, active service period are non-refundable as we provide continuous services like hosting, security monitoring, and backups.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your management plan at any time. The cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and you will not be billed for the next period.

Content & Intellectual Property

We believe in fair ownership. While you own the final website, it's important to clarify ownership of content created during ongoing management.

  • Client-Provided Content: You retain full ownership of all content you provide to us for use on your website.
  • Our Original Content: All original content, including but not limited to text, graphics, and custom code created by MKC Future as part of a management plan update, remains our intellectual property until the invoice for that service period has been paid in full. Upon successful payment, full ownership and rights to that specific content are transferred to you.

Client Responsibilities

A successful project is a collaborative effort. To ensure we meet our agreed-upon timelines, we rely on you to provide the following in a timely manner:

  • Content: All text, images, and other content for the website pages.
  • Feedback: Prompt feedback and approval at each stage of the design and development process.

Delays in providing content or feedback may result in a corresponding delay in the project completion date.

Scope of Work & Revisions

The initial project scope (e.g., number of pages, specific features) will be detailed in our project agreement. We understand that ideas can evolve, and we offer flexibility.

  • Included Revisions: The design process includes two rounds of major revisions to ensure you are happy with the direction.
  • Additional Work: Requests that fall outside the original scope (e.g., adding extra pages, complex features) will be considered additional work and will be quoted separately at our standard hourly rate.

Confidentiality

We respect your privacy and the confidentiality of your business. Any information, documents, or data you share with us throughout the project will be kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with any third parties without your express permission.
